Should you shut down the protein skimmer when feeding DT's photoplankton and if so how long of period. Also what is the best time to add this to your tank. Thanks in advance for any help.:help:

Hey,
I've heard both sides of the theory, that skimmers filter out phytoplankton or that they don't have any effect on it. I like to run skimmers on a timer and run at night only so no effect for me. As to when to feed, I use it every other day or every 3rd day while all the lights are on. HTH
