pic of 55 gal

i just got a 55 gal and i'm going to get some lr and ls to put in it and i'm not sure how i want to set it up so post some pictures of your tanks. well i'll go ahead and show you a picture of mine so far its been running for a week today. i went ahead and put my dads coral in there.

Just live sand, and Live rock would start it out right. Once the coraline algea on the Live rock spreads to that coral, It'll start looking sweet!!!

Sorry, I actually just posted this on another thread...BUT, here's my 37gal. This pic was taken about a week ago. As I also stated in that other thread, I just placed a really cool little candy cane coral between the barnacle and the big rock to the left of it (as you're facing)....I can't WAIT to see how he does tomorrow!!!

Just the basic live sand and live rock

What are you gonna run for lights? Reef or Fish only?
Some not so recent shots of my 55g. I have added some more live rock and re-arranged the rocks a bit.

Thats a 55 tall? my sis has one of those. Yours looks great, some sand would look nice, keep us posted!!!! :jumping:

hey you guys thanks for the comments. I just went to the lps and got some live sand last night. i'm going to get some live rock this weekend when i get it i'll post a picture of it.
mythrenody my tank is going to have both i think.
.um... i'm not sure what you mean about the lights. if you mean the watts i'm not sure yet.
i have a question maybe someone can solve i live by a dock and there are these crabs there would it be a good idea to put that in there or what. :notsure:
here's my tank with the live sand in it.

IMO, no, it would not be a good idea to put the crabs in unless you can get a positive ID on them. You dont konw if they are reef safe, how big they are, if they wille at your fish, ect. and even if you did, they could still be carrying pathogens that could wreak havock on your tank.
and they may not even survive depending on wher eyou live if the water temp is too different.
