Woke up this morning and saw that the tentacles on my brain were out a little so I decided to give feeding a shot for the first time since I got it last sunday. It as pretty neat to watch. Took some pics, here is one.
They are pretty hardy according to most. I put mine in the tank as the first piece a little over a month after the cycle. It seems to be doing very well. They require medium light and are happy on the sand bed. Also I try to feed mine meaty foods every few days. Other than that it does just fine with the light.
Well i'm no expert but some corals will accept larger pieces of food such as krill and shrimp as shown above. I'm sure they catch these things in the wild and it is nice for them to have some every once ina while in the home aquarium. Best thing to do would be to read up on it for a trully scientific answer.
I've only got one brain coral.
Here's the most extreme after meal photo I have showing it's expansion.
Very cool coral to watch, as it changes shapes and feeds.
