hes been in my tank for about a week now the first couple days i never saw him but now he seems to come out a little bit each day so i snapped a shot incase he goes into hiding again lol

So if the pom poms are anemones, do you need T5 lighting to keep them alive?

i doubt you would need real super strong lighting to keep the pom poms alive and i say this because the pom pom crabs hides out in the rocks and shadows like 90% of the time or more. i do have an hqi light but i doubt it has any effect on the pom poms

Cool... What are you keeping him with? How's his temperament? I've been thinking about adding one to my reef tank, but just wanted to make sure that he gets along well with others...

I have had my pom pom for 4 months now, they are so cute but hardly see him. When i first got him he only had one pom pom .Well he now has 2 pom poms, they do split the one pom pom if its healthy and then will have 2 of them. I don't believe light is an issue for their anemones as they are mostly in the rock all all the time, I do know that food is important though. I don't feed mine anything special he comes out and sweeps the the sand with the extra food that i feed with. Amazing little critters and a nice addition to any nano tank. Don't think I would add them to a bigger tank as they are pretty tiny crabs but that is just me.
