PIC Weird Black thing...what is it??

I have had this in my tank for about 2 or 3 years, but it was always on the back side of a rock and about 1/2 inch in diameter. Since I moved and got my bigger tank I rearranged everything and now it's in play site and about 3.5 inches wide.
So what is it:

in the uper left hand side of the picture you can see a tube come out of it. its definitaly some type of tunicate! in my unprofesional opinion

looks like you got a pic right before your clown attacked. it's just eye-balling where it wants to take a plug out of your finger.

Sponges also have siphon holes. See if it closes one of the holes when you touch it. Tunicates react somewhat... sponges do not.
