Well, I have never owned a picasso trigger but I have had a niger. I think they are very attractive with those skirt like fins. Did you know that their color can change from black to blue to green on a daily basis. Mine never turned green but switched between black and blue. One of the neat things about them in comparison to other triggers is their red teeth. They seem to be the more peaceful of the triggers and are good for beginners due to their hardiness. I just read that a picasso is also called a humma-humma and in that case, I have owned one. The one thing that I didn't like about that one is the sound they make when startled. The first time I heard it, I freaked. My books calls it whirring but to me it sounded more like a loud growling and mine did it at each feeding. Some hobbiest find that sort of thing fascinating but I didn't care for it. It is truely a person to person hobby. Everyone likes what they like for their own reasons. Also, the picasso does like to rearrange its home to make it more suitable so keep that in mind.
I hope I have helped.
