Im looking into getting some better lights, as i want to get a anoeme and clown in a month or 2, and still confused on what to get (plenty of reading/searching already), i would like to be able to keep corals (beginner ones) but a anoeme too. My tank is a 40 gal tall, right now i have a blue atnic and normal florecent. my lfs has a jbj 30" pc set up for 250, but i dont know if that will be enough or where i can find a better price.. or best to goto vho instead ?
Thanks

JBJ's are excellent lights. The important notes to consider when looking into light isn't the length of the light, it's the output and quality. JBJ is very high-quality. For most soft corals, medium lighting is fine. My suggestion would be to go ahead and get a VHO system, as chances are you will end up wanting to move into higher light-requiring corals and it will be easier in the long run to just get the good lights to begin with and not have to worry with trading out and losing money on the deal. But, if your intention for this tank is truly just soft corals and a few anemones, then a good JBJ PC would likely be fine.
