Pics from Maui Aquarium

Just got back from vacation in Maui and had the opportunity to visit the beautiful aquarium there. The aquarium only has fish found in the Hawaiian Islands. They have some really large tanks including one that I would guess is close to 1 million gallons that houses numerous sharks (as large as an 8 foot Tiger), Rays and so on. It has an area you can walk through and see the fish swimming above you.
First pics came from a huge tank at the entrance with all kinds of reef fish, I was fascinated by the Yellow Stripe Tangs...To give you an idea of how big these guys are, the Yellow and Convict Tangs you see are at least 6 inchs long

I wonder if they'd let my pitch a tent and live in front of that tank, so I could call it my own.

You know you are a SWF addict when everybody else is looking at the Turtles, and I'm going "Wow, those Achilles Tangs are schooling together!!"

A few from the Shark Tank, then unfortunately my Camara died
Included are the big 8 foot Tiger in the first pic.

These were taken from the Atlantis submarine we went on, it dives to about 150 feet. I was a little freaked out at first as it is rather tight, I don't think I would have done well on a Navy sub.
Yes that is a sunken ship in the second pic
We were supposed to go on a Glass bottom boat the last day, which would have been great fish viewing at much shallower water, but they cancelled on us due to wind and high surf

Thats pretty much what I would have done had I not gotten the "Daddy, its time for dinner, you can see your fish back at home" from my 3 year old

WOW! Look at the coloration on the Dragon, in the 7th pic!!!
Yeah, I figured you and Harley would like that one. I would guess the Dragon was about 2 feet, so still pretty young. It was in with a big Yellow Margin Moray, a Viper Moray, a couple Zebras and a Whitemouth....When I lining them up that was when the Camara decided to give out....Sorry, it would have been a great FTS

Wish I still had my Whitemouth. I sold it RSlinger, here on SWF, but haven't seen him in months.
