Hi,
I have a brand new 70 gal. tank in which I want to keep fish only. I also want it to look very natural. I have aquired two decent sized resin coral skeletons (I think that's what they're called), and I want to buy enough lava rock to simulate an artificial reef.
Can anyone post some pictures of a similar set-up so I can get some ideas?
Thanks alot. All your tank pics are incredible!
John.

Don't use lava rock. Use live rock, it looks much more natural (because it is) and it's beneficial. I used to use lava rock and made the same mistake when I first put my new tank up but luckily I found out about live rock in time. Here's my tank in case you missed my thread. This isn't the greatest aquascape job, but even still if I had used lava rock it would be much worse. You'll notice the lava rock I started out with at the bottom of the pile.

Exellent picture, Mystic. I see Powder blue tang and Yellow tang sort of kissing each other in rather shy way, and a Hippo tang kissing the tail of yellow tang.
Some serious tango dance going there! ;-)

I did not photoshop the picture other than sharpening and resizing. Now where can I put my hand?

If you look closely you can also see my cleaner wrasse above the tangs, my niger trigger right below the powder blue tang, and my coral beauty at the bottom. I didn't even realize myself until now that all 6 of my fish are in that shot. Many more to come, soon!

Yes, I see them all now! Its still quite a rare shot of all different kind tangs so close to each other. Maybe they are not, and in perspective quite far away. I wish I had some skills to take that kind of pictures.
Mystic, do you know (or anybody), what this little brown like flower/anemone looking thing on the little rocks in the front of your tank? I am asking, because I noticed that quite a few of this exact same things growing on my LR now.
