Whole tank. Colors are much better in real life, I suck at picture taking and I'm using a digital camcorder to take them.

At my favorite LFS here in the Detroit area. They mostly have crappy rock, but every now and then they get something like this (18 lb piece). I've got a 35 gallon going with Southdown and 2 pieces about 1/2 this ones size curing. I hope that in the next couple of months to find another 15-20+ lb piece. I like big pieces (like most people I think ... oh and I am talking about LR :)) rather than stacking many little pieces.
Heater issue: The live rock touches both the front and back of the glass. So I can't put it down more. I've tried many things. As a background, this is just a temporary nano so that my wife would see how beautiful reefs are and let me get my 75 gallon. She agreed about 2 weeks ago! :)

I do a water change once a week. Between 1-2 gallons depending on how things are looking that week. No filter besides the LR and LS. I've been cutting back on feedings to twice a week and I'm going to experiment with shortening the photo period starting this week.
Just tonight I've found two new types of snails on my LR ... I'm so geeked!

6 days after I put the LR in, my params were Am=0 Nitrite=0 Nitrate=2-3. My hardest thing to stabalize was my pH. But ever since I've used my buffer it's been fine.

Nice tank. I've been thinking about converting my fresh water 10g into a nano, but It's tough for me to take care of both my 180g reef and 54g fish only tank. I think nanos are neat.
