Here's an old pic that shows some of my aptasia problem this was imediately after treating with joes juice all of the white globs are aptasia that I injected, this pic was about 1 year ago and the aptasia got much worse before it got better at it's worst every rock in the picture was completely covered you could not see the rock under the aptasia now after about 5 bottles of joes juice later almost aptasia free.

Sweet reef
, every coral has the right to live but there comes a time when "the weeds need to be kept in check
" I'm sure somewhere in our oceans they play a vital role in the ecosystem, but as far as having them in our small tanks they are a problem....I just recently had to cover up "with epoxy" a patch of GSP on my main center piece in my reef. I hated to do it but without doing so it would have killed my precious ricordea.
Great recovery and I really like those blue zoas.....

They actually are slowly dying off they were almost as bad as the aptasia on a few of the rocks a few months ago when I was working out of town for about 2 months and my wife was taking care of my fish and I wasn't doing water changes regularly.

Thanks for the complements, I couldn't get a decent pic of those zoas need to get a macro lense for my camera but they are actually Purple in the center with aqua blue surrounding that and are in the process of changing color at the moment they seem to be getting brighter with more defined colors

The tank looks much better now. I wonder about the Tang, typically we put them in 75g or larger tanks because they are open space swimmers. Yours seems find and probably always will but it is not their ideal enirvonment.

Your tank looks much better.
Maybe you can upgade before your tangs grow to full size because that tank is going to get very small.

Figured I'd be hearing about the Tangs, they both seem to be doing fine not sure what the average growth rate is but the Yellow I have had for about 2 years and has grown about 2" in length. They both seem to find plenty of swimming room for now all of my rock work is in the center of the tank so they will swim down one side and through the rock and back down the other side or just back and forth through the rock feeding as they go. I already have a 110 in storage that I will move them into when space becomes an issue. I had to put the large tank on hold to take care of my wife's grandmother and I don't want to set it up at her house until I know how long I will be there.
