Pics of Our Troops

I am inspired to start this thread after reading Sepulatian's Thread about his cousin Steven. My brother, Shannon, is currently serving in Afghanistan after serving in Iraq about a year and a half ago. My brother has been based in Germany since 2002. I have seen him a handful of times since.
This thread is in support of our troops! Return home safely and thanks a million!!!!!!

We are the most powerful country on the planet thanks to men/woman like him. It takes a special breed to put their own life on the back burner and sacrifice their time and safety for our country as a whole. They may not be fighting for OUR safety so to speak, but they are representing our powerful military.
This is what he chose, that makes him that much more admirable. Against the wishes of loved ones, alternate careers, the easy life, they chose this. Knowing full well what it entailed they embrace this responsibility.
Total admiration here... I hope your brother returns safely, but for all the men and women who didn't or don't, they died the most heroic death possible IMO. There is not another job in this country that makes as much difference as our military.
Rambling, I know, but I want Shannon and buddies to know we realize and appreciate the sacrifice.
