Hey all never posted in this forum before, but curious if anyone can steer me in the right direction of a good photo storing, editing program??? The crappy program HPPhotoPremier that came on my laptop took a dump last night and need to find a replacement program and figure out how to get all my pics out of the old program.....Any help or info would be really appreciated......

photoshop is a great program for editing photos. if you are just needing to resize pics, however, you can use the paint program for the time being.
as for getting pics out of the old program, the pics should be saved in a folder outside of the photopremier program, right?

Yeah I got them out....I have my system setup with an Admin account and my wife and my separate account, and my program under my name just took a dump.....I have transferred all the pics over to the Admin side and the program works just fine??? Can't figure out why, but I'm going to look at the some new programs for sure......

Yeah, Photoshop is great, at $650 It should be! If you just want to just resize, store, and optimise for uploading, you can download Photoshop Elements for $79. Another widely used good free one is GIMP, get it here GIMP for Mac
or hereGIMP for Windows

Second on Photoshop Elements.

Elements also has one of the best photo organizers out there. And realistically, unless you are doing cmyk print work, you don't need the full version of Photoshop. I've been a Photoshop consultant for 10 years now and believe me when I tell you, Elements is an awesome, awesome program!

I just downloaded a free program that google makes. It's called Picasa 2. It is really easy to use. Try it out.
