Pictures of 10k, 12k, 14k and up MH anyone?

for the looks i go for the 14 k , 20 k is too blue for me. and 10 k for the growth . personally 10 k xm is not that bad is bright white more par

i like the xm 14k...just bought them for mine and i love them...the pic i have shows a more white like but they are actually a nice blue hue

I like the 14k look, but I was wondering if that light would give sufficient growth to SPS corals. Someone told me that a 12k bulb would be a good compromise between the blue look and good growth. Can anyone provide a picture of 12k bulbs with experience between the growth rates of other bulbs?

chris- i was originally runnin 2 - 150w 10k's on my tank when i got my fxture. they were already 1 yr old, so i replaced them with xm 15k's. i went from a yellow tank, to a tank with awesome color. but becuase i didn't do my homework, i found out later on that altho the color of the xm 15k is rerally nice (and i loved it) the par sucked. hence, i had very little growth for the year. in june i switched to the aqualine buske 10000 which is very close to a 12k in obserbable color, while almost matching a 10k in par output. the growth has been great in my softies and lps.

10k seems to grow things faster but 20k make the color pop in the corals more.I have only 14k for about 3 months or so but my Acropora has got about a 1/4 in growth on it since I got it and and some of my zoo's I bought have doubled the polyp count.

growth is always great in the 10k range yellow color, in the 14 range tank color is nice growth is mediocre and 20k real blue color least growth but great coral coloration

2 tunze 6025s (modded) on the right and a sure flow 1600 kit on a MJ1200 on the left.
MAJOR flow in there. Like 4500gph with my Mag7 return.

Here is a more recent pic of the tank with actinic on, which is not a noticeable difference in the pics.

ive got 2 #4 koralia and i had to turn one of them off because it was blowing the xenia and frogspawn all over the place...
oh yeah i have a 90g tank

I have been looking at different bulbs to see what I like better and to see the growth difference so I have all 3

I experienced a significant decrease in growth when I switched from 10k to 14k. I switched back to the 10k. I did love the look of the 14k though.
