Pictures of Icecap 660 VHO setup

Does anybody have any pictures of their VHO setup. I want to get an idea about how bulky the system is. I have found none on the internet.

Is that just the ballast it's self or with the vinyl/aluminum mounting bracket?

Well, my tank is a little different. It doesn't have a "hood" really.
There is a glass frame work built around the edges about 3" down into the tank. The current NO bulbs and balasts just lay on top of that frame work. The ballasts are protected in a vinyl sheath that came with the system.
I am wanting to just replace my NO set up with VHO and I am wondering if everything will fit correctly. The Bulbs should be no problem since the URI bulbs have an internal reflector. I am wondering how the Ballast will fit.

sorry to cut in but how did you mount your endcaps?

If you are talking about my endcaps, they are attached to a PVC reflector. The bulbs just lay on top of the glass framework and I can move them as needed to reach things in the tank.

I'm putting mine together right now.I bought some plexy brackets to hold the tubes together,sorta in a sandwich fashion.And,I had two pieces of plexy cut to sit on each end of the top of the tank.I'm just going to lay the bulbs(4) on top of the tank until ,maybe someday,I make a canopy.I'm glad I checked here about the ballast because I was trying to figure out where to put it.I did'nt know it was safe to just put it on the floor.
