Pictures of my Skimmer

Hi everyone.. some of you may have seen my posts in the last couple days with My MRC1 skimmer problems.. There was an air leak in the beckett chamber (Which I am pretty sure I fixed, this is because after the fix it ran much stronger, and when the air valve was closed much fewer bubbles were in the chamber) So anyway, I am putting some pictures of my skimmer which is running right now with this adjustment. I need help or tips... Does the lever of water in the chamber look correct? Also how about the air bubble size in the second chamber? I havent gotten any foam yet. If this is correct, would a clean foam almost be instant, or would it take a day or two to form foam? Also with only 80 lbs LR and 2 Clowns and a powder blue tang, should I just not be expecting much now? The tanks is approx 3-4 weeks up and running. Also I am putting up a picture of the skimmer when I close off the air valve. 99% of the bubbles go away but there are still some. Is this normal or should there be absolutely no bubbles at all?
Thanks!!

Yeah, it seems as though it's still leaking air just a bit. On a skimmer you're looking at having the bubbles bursting just as they reach the top of the neck and not spewing over into the cup.

Thanks for the reply... they are not spilling into the collection cup.. the bubbles are in the second chamber.. but not over spilling into the collection cup... Should I give it time for foam? it should the foam be instant?

Give it a day or two and see if it changes. It varies from system to system. As of right now the bubbles look low. But when ever you do make adjustments, make minor adjustments and give it time because changes don't happen instantly, no. Most times there is a break in period with skimmers. Some start pulling gunk the same day, others may take quite a few days. It's a game of patience.
