Are they hardy, and what is the minimum tank size for it.

Sorry, they are not at all hardy - in fact they are difficult to keep - difficult to feed - most will starve to death. When mature they need very large tanks - 180g or more. Needs a deep tank with plenty of unobstrutive swimming area and also lots of hiding places - shy fish that needs to be kept with unaggresive tankmates.
Too bad, it is a beautiful fish.

I'm with ya on that one. Very cool fish! But, they are almost impossible to keep. My lfs had one (he is very reputable) and couldn't keep him. Do yourself and favor and don't get one.
