Pink&black cucumber,Yes or no?

I heard pink& black cucumbers can release toxins in the water. is this true? I have a 110 and i want him to go in there. Please help. Thanks

they can release toxins if they are stressed or feel endangered. i really dont know that much about them but i have heard the pink and black is difficult to maintain. but id get more opinions!
