I recently set up a 30 gal tank. I have been useing a new Pinpoint Salinity Monitor and am getting wierd readings. I calibrated according to the instructions. When I put the sensor in the tank the reading increases then peaks at a what would be a desired reading (48.6 range which converts to 1.0237) then it starts to drop and does not stop dropping. I am moving the sensor around as the instructions say. When I use the cheap plastic gauge I have it shows the salinity way to high. (1.025) Should the Pinpoint lock on a number like it did when I calibrated it?
