pipe fish in 150 gallon reef?

Yes. The bluestripes and dragonface pipes seem to do fine in a large reef. I'd say the larger/more live rock the better.
We have a bluestripe in our 140 and it usually stays in the back, in the dark, comes out in front after lights out. Don't see it very often, but it is a fat little thing.

I really want a dragonface to go in my seahorse tank, but right now I'm suffering from that age-old hawaiian disease....... lackamoolah.
Right now, until student loans come in, we're talkin' serious lackamoolah. Of all the normal pipefish sp. we see in this hobby, I think the dragonface's have the most personality. Seems that way from what I've seen in my LFS, anyway......

Yeah, the dragonfaces do exhibit a peculiar interest in everything around them. Most other pipes I've messed with are kind of... blah as far as personality goes.
Alligator pipes are neat for seahorse tanks. Make great hitching posts :) Of course transfer of disease among wild-caught specimens is a serious risk.
