Possible. We have one in a 140 gallon tank and although we hear snapping pretty often we haven't lost any peppermint shrimps.

Buy it a, whatever that is.........engineer goby? Not familiar with the little relationship that they have, but I HEARD that it helps the pistol shrimp "relax" a little more.

A shrimp goby (or prawn goby). The commensal pistol shrimp are reported to not live as long without a symbiant goby. It's really cool to see them pair up, too.

THERE it is, right up there. I know a little about their symbiotic relationship, just not much. I don't know if it happens in nature, which are best suited, areas, aquascaping with possibly further coral additions, dangers of territorial protection................

well I had a tiger pistol in my old 75 and never bothered my cleaner or my harliquen shrimp.
I got a new pistol the other day for my 15 gal and I have a cleaner in there and I am not worried at all about it. But it seems the pistol did not pair up with my yellow watchman though
