Not sure, was wondering if someone could fill me in on the lights and skimmer. Are they good?

Not sure about that skimmer, never used one. Orbit makes good lights though. It's not gonna be a ton of light for a 24" tank, but you should be able to do most soft corals and large polyp corals.

It's not a bad deal. The skimmer is not great, but you have to buy a sump and such too.
30 Gallon (36x16x12) Oceanic Reef Ready Sump (model 2) Isn't that a sump?

Not a bad deal, from the looks of the light description I think those are power compacts. But still not a bad deal...

Yep. So it's an even better deal.
I read through your post 3 times to make sure I wasn't missing it...guess I did anyway

If you want to go corals -- I would personally go t-5 over power compacts between the two (halides preferably).
I just dont think power compacts by themselves are part of long term coral care unless they are changed out every 6 months -- and then even not up to par with t-5's.
As far as a deal for a new set up -- it's not bad. There are a TON of deals out there right now on classifieds for used tanks where if you look around enough you can find something like this for at LEAST half from what I've been seeing.

Yep, I did not read very carefully, with "dual" bulbs, they are definitely pc's.
