placing LR

I was wondering if it mattered whether LR was touching any side of the tank-like, leaning up against it-or if after having it for 2-3 months with fish and inverts I could still move some of the pieces around if nothing has started growing yet?

you can have it wherever you want. my rock is laying against the entire back of my tank, and a few pieces in the front. just dont smack it on the glass. be creative and place it where it looks like its naturally connecting!

When initially setting up a tank - I like to keep the lower back area behind the rockwork clean and unobstructed.
Allows for water circulation behind the stack, and helps to keep detritus and other crap from settling back there.
Several pieces do touch the glass.
I've never had any problems doing this in any tank.
Left end view of 75 gallon tank as it was in January after first setting it up.

Same here! I have plenty spots that touch. Just be sure you can get water movement through the area and you'll be fine.
