Planned fish, good or bad

25 gallon
2 percola clowns
1 neon blue goby
1 cleaner shrimp
1 peppermint shrimp
1 emerald
5-7 blue or red legged hermits
5-7 snails
and one seastar, probably an orange.
I was also hoping to add a firefish unless that is going to be too much. Maybe instead of the percolas?
Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

Look into a watchman goby. They are awesome.
DEFINATELY dump the star. It will starve in that small of a tank.

Ok, so dump the starfish, dang Id love to have one. Well I'll have to wait till I get a bigger tank. Two peppermints it is.
As far as the neongoby and firefish, they'll fight? I know some gobies will fight but I thought these two were compatible.
No one sees this as over stocking? Just want to be cautious.
Thanks,
B

You should be fine with the 2 gobies and 2 clowns. Honestly, I would probably try to get 2 peppermints and 2 neon gobies as well. They always seem to do better when they are paired up. If you can get a pair of them from your lfs, I would probably go with this idea. I mean, they really do not count very much as bioload on your aquarium. They mainly feed off of parasites in the water and on your fish, while they eat a tiny amount of food that you put into the tank. Also, I would try to get a pair of them that are tank-raised. The tank-raised ones always seem to be a lot healthier as well.
I really do not see you as overstocking the tank. You are not going with fish that put out a high amount of waste, and as long as you run a skimmer and do frequent small water changes, you will be absolutely fine. I don't see the nitrates ever rising above 5 or 10 ppm.
In my 210, I have 2 pairs of neon gobies and they get alog quite well. One pair made their home in a rock on a left, while the other pair made their home in a rock on the right. It's great to watch. And as far as the gobies getting along, you should not have any problems in that area. My 4 get along quite well with my engineer goby and my diamond goby.
