I have a 29g. I use a CPR BakPak skimmer, and my lights are VHO. Don't have a sump, but wish I did...

225 total watts of light. No additional filter aside from the skimmer. I have 2 powerheads, one's a maxi-jet one something else... they are at opposite corners of the tank, meaning one is located in the front left corner and the other in the back right. I don't really like looking at the powerhead at the front of my tank but it keeps the anemones happy and right in the middle where I want them - I think they like the cross current (is that the right term?) created where the 2 powerhead streams meet...does this make sense?

After re-reading my post, I realize I made it sound like I have a bunch of anemones. I don't :scared:
I had a RBTA which recently split, so now I have 3 little ones....
here's a shot that shows 2 of them , the third is exactly next to the one on the right..

I have a 29 gallon with a bio-wheel hang on filter, Aqua C remora hang on skimmer, and about 45 pounds of live rock. :joy: Many are not fans of the bio-wheels but I have been happy so far. Good luck and have fun with your new set up!

If I remember right, it was about $175 for the retro kit(not including bulbs). It can handle up to 4 bulbs (I only run 3) and it has 2 switches, so that I can time my lights to go on/off at two different times.

Yes, and that price didn't include shipping. Do a web search on PFO VHO retro kit and you'll probably find some shopping opportunities....
By the way, you need to have or build a canopy to install the retro kit into....just in case you didn't realize...
