Plans For Home-Made Surge Devices

I would like to build some surge devices for my next tank.
I recall an issue of F.A.M.A. that had plans for one that sat above the tank and would tip over when full then reset itself and fill again.
Does anyone have any plans that show specs on how to build these?

Why would you want a dump bucket? There are a lot of outher and better surge plans out there IMO. Like the Borneman Surge
