I want to build a sump/refuge out of a 10gal tank (all i have room for under my stand). I currently have a wet dry and figure its a waste to use that with all the media out of it, so i will sell it on ---- or something...
Anyway a few questions:
1) how do i secure the hose that comes down from the overflow? Do i have it discharge under the water level to keep it quiet? Do i attach it to a pc of pvc in the sump?
2) Can i put my heater in the refuge section? is there enough water flow there to heat the tank? Im guessing not.
3) I have a in sump skimmer. Now it sits in the wet dry sump next to the return pump, i guess it would be the same?
Any plans would be great! Does home depot have acrylic i can use to divide the tank up? What silicone can i use from HD to secure it to the tank?
