plastic plants

is it bad to put plastic plants in SW tanks? i just wanna throw in a long seeweed type plant to camo my heater and filter tube

if there is any metal on or in it then I'd say it's bad otherwise, it's just tacky.

yeh, most of em are tacky, but i just wanted a tall seeweed looking one to cover teh tubes up, it actually looks pretty good

I'm sure it can be done but it doen't look very natural.
You can always buy a black heater, filter tubes and a black background or upgrade to a sump.

It can be done, but I have seen that plastic plants over time build up too much film, then they just look ugly. Try to hide it with live rock instead. :thinking:

Hey now... I have plastic plants in mine because right now I can't afford much else. As long as my babies have hiding places, they're happy. I'm saving up for some live rock and other things.
