Plate Coral ID

Is there a way to tell the difference between a Long Tentacle Plate and a Short Tentacle. I just purchased one and it was labeled Plate Anemone. Also, how long can the Tentacle's get on both the shor and long....Right now the Tentacle's on mine are about a 1/4" and the disc is about 2.5 to 3"

You have the short tentacle plate. I have two short tentacle's and one long. Your short tentacles will stretch to about 1/2 inch. The long tentacles stretch to about 1 1/2 inches. At least that's how long both of mine get.
I find these fascinating. The way they look all soft and mushy and then when you move them, they're like rocks!
