Plate coral on the move???????

I swear my extra large plate coral is moving. It has moved about three inches in the last couple days. It is too big for the current,or any of my fish to be doing this.Is this possible??Maybe somehow in the way it puffs up everyday???????

I have heard that plate corals can move, and I think that it is by the same way you described.

I had one that also moved. I think that when they open up they do "float" around the bottom. I lowered the current on my plate,and that seems to keep him in his place.

Your plate coral like everyone elses has the power to move. like anemones Plates can change their location.

yea its pretty fun to watch I have a short tentcle plate and if you move it even a little with in hours its right back just where it likes it

Cool,I thought I was going crazy.It is the only coral in my 130gallon tank,but it's a showpiece.
