I have a 5 stripe damsel that spends alot of time swiming against the current of the powerhead. Is she just playing?

Denise....it may very well be playing.....I've recently seen my coral beauty sort of body surfing......it will get up in the cornor behind 2 power heads ....then dart out into the current and turn back towards it real quick.....then sort of fight to stay there........it does this till it looses its grip then flutters away....only to go back and do it all over again.........and it looks like he really enjoys it too.........

hehe, feel proud then mama! He's just playing in the current! Their might be other psychological reasons for doing it....but we'll never know will we? hahaha, anyhow enjoy em! Dave

It might be playing, Make sure to look closely for Ick ( white spots ), Or any other external parisites to make sure thats not why she's doing that though. Some fish will stay by a power head when they have irriatants on them.
