I have a 55 gal tak water quality is excelent, Salinity 20 (SG 1.014), NH3 = 0, NO3 = 0, NH2 = 10 or lower, PH = 8.3, and Cu = 0. I have 5 fish, all diferent kinds no live rock or sand , and two hermit crabs. All fish are very health. and hermit crabs are thriving.
My problem is certain kinds of inverts I put in the tank don't live more than 24 hrs some die within the hr. These are Stars, cleaner shrimp or blood shrimp, a red lobster, and an enemony. PLease help the only thing I can think of is my salinity is to low.

I think the salinity *is* too low. Inverts like salinity around 1.023-1.025! Your practically keeping your tank at hyposalinty.
I would suggest that over a 48 hour period you should SLOWLY raise the salinty.
Take a gallon out, mix some more salt in, dump it back in.. just do it very slowly, every hour or two. You don't want to shock your tank critters. You might also want to take a sample of your water to the LFS and see what thier tests show.

How long do you take to acclimate them before adding to your tank? Most inverts are extremely sensitive to changes in salinity, pH and temperature.
And yes, your salinity is way to low for most invertebrates. They do best with sal. levels of 1.023 to l.025. I would raise it before adding any more.

Your salinity way too low the lowest you should go IMO is 1.021. You need to bring that up as soon as possible. I keep mine at 1.022 and my inverts are perfectly healthy. <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

Be sure to acclimate inverts slowly when the salinity is up, if you tried adding a blue star with your previous salinity it wouldnt have a chance.
