Please Help!! Feeding a torch coral?

"not opened for a few days and water is perfect"...need more info here. How long has the system been established and what are your water tests like? Plus information on lighting/circulation.
The torch I keep has never responded well to direct feedings but I do dose with DT's Phyto plankton on a regular basis...and whenever I direct feed several other corals I always try to give the torch some of the liquid from the old turkey baster. They should be open and extended on a normal basis and if not then there is a definite problem that needs to be corrected.
