post your info. what size tank, what's in the tank, were they added correctly? how old is the tank? did you cycle?
you say water is ok. please post your test results. salinity, temp, and all that.
what are you feeding the fish? are you feeding what they need?
how long have you had the fish? how did the clown act before it died? does the trigger show any signs of ich or anything?
did you put fish in a q-tank before adding them? if so for how long?
Just asking the questions that are going to get asked. no one can tell you what's wrong without some info.
post answers and someone may be able to help you.

Nikki,
Sounds like disease. Is/was your trigger breathing heavy/gasping at the surface or was he scratching? What was wrong with your other fish? Have you added any new animals? Temperature fluctuation? Did this start right after your last water change? I need more detailed info to help you.

ok okl youre right sorry.
ive had my tank up over a year now. come to think of it my trigger was rubbing himself up against rocks ( ich??) but the clown was fine and then boom, dead.
i have a wet/dry filter, feed about every other day. i vary my food but mostly feed the frozen mix they suggest at fish stores
