Please help ID this crab

This crab snuck in with some mushrooms. It has more than doubled in size in 3 months. Please help ID. Friend or foe?
This is the most it has come out that I've seen. I've been wanting to get him out but haven't been able. Anybody got plans for a minature crab trap like on "Deadliest Catch"?

Almost looks like a Sally Lightfoot the way it is so wide and thin.
How quick is it? Lightfoots are super quick compared to most other crabs.
Any better pic that shows body shape?

ya it looks like a gorilla to me

There have been some dark ones posted lately, but they look like gorillas, just darker than the pics I can find on the internet. I saw a pic of a rock crab with the same color, but the features make these look like gorillas.

Not a good crab. Take a screwdriver to him. You'll never catch him to get himm out unless you can find what rock he's in and remove the rock. A freind of mine lost a bunch of fish to a crab like that.

Oh well, I guess I'll try to catch it. I've read about putting a piece of food in a class jar near the rocks and the crab should (eventaully) go in for the food and not be able to get back out because of the slick sides. I'll start with that and see what else I catch.
