seems to be hard to the touch but it pulsates if u watch it closly in the aqurium not the picture.

Are you asking about the whole green area at the top of the rock, or a specific area in that spot?

the green thing at the top look it is flat but seems to have a gel like coating if u look close . the pic is the best i could get it is in back of tank. but when u touch it it is hard. very wierd
