We are new with our tank and received packs of several corals, I just dont know what they are called and cant find them listed at the website we received them from, any help would be appreciated.
Starting at the upper left corner I know we have the orange florida richordia, on the right is the pulsing xenia. I dont know what the buttons below the richordia and xenia also I dont know what the green grassy bunch is called that is in the lower center. In the upper right corner there is blue snowflake, but not sure what the stuff is located below that. Can anyone help?

that also look like hair algae. once u hv it, its very hard to get rid of it. r u using tap water? it is a sign of too much nutrients in the water. try to siphon it off as much as possible during ur water change.

No we are using distilled water. Someone got some of this stuff from a local shop. It wouldnt grow in his tank and he gave it to us. It has been spreading quickly.

Probably would help with some close ups but the green patch on the lower left center looks like Green Star Polyps to me. Google that and see how it compares. Also the blue could be Anthelia and I can't quite see what is under it but it may be a colt coral or a kenya tree. Again google those and compare.
Oh yeah you better address that hair algae to the left of the green star polyps before it gets out of hand.

as mentioned b4, try to siphon them off bc they can grow very fast and suffocate all of ur corals.

I searched green hair algae and now I am worried. We will check the water levels and get that under control. I had no idea how bad that is. Thanks again for the info!

As mentioned earlier, I am new at this. . . so when you say siphon them off -- I can actually siphon them without it breaking off and spreading around?

Normally a pretty hardy group of coral you have there. Do some research on them to see what your as their keeper need to be aware of to have them live a long and happy tank life with you.
Your tank is nice by the way. Keep posting and let us know how things are going.

Well I found out we dont have a kit to test phosphate levels, so I have to get one today and check it out. So hopefully we can check that out tonight when I get home. I was able to get some of the grass algae off earlier yesterday, I am going to work on that some more tonight also. Thanks for all the advise, I really appreciate it.
