Ok so my anemone split recently and until about an hour ago was just chillen in the same spot as the original. Well it has started to roam now, its not very far and in a safe spot but I don't want it to start stinging everything and mess it all up. My tank is only a 24g so space is limited and there is really NO where else for it go comfortably that I can see. I was planning on taking it to pet store tomorrow or trying to sell it here but how can I section it off or store it without killing it? ANY suggestions are welcome please help me!

You can try to put it in a tupperware with the top open. Good chance it will just float away though. Yo ucan try poking holes in the side of the tupperware so the flow is not messed up too much. I have seen this done, but I guess it is very hard to get anemones to stay in a tupperware until they have thier foot attached.

i know with aiptasia, my current pet one, i just pulled him off...but im not sure on a big one. try not to sting yourself, it hurts like hell usually.
take the rock out he is on and take the rock and him in. or try to put him in a bucket witht he rock he is on and put a smaller rock in there. move the big rock he is on occasionally so where he moves down or whatever towards the other rock and try to get him to move. or try pluckking it off, i don't know for sure.

Well, I easily got him out of the tank by CAREFULLY separating the foot from the rock with tweasers. He is now in a container with tank water hanging out. I just hope that he will be alright overnight until the LFS opens tomorrow! Any other help to raise the chances of overnight survival would be appreciated!

When mine went roaming I put it in a bowl with a larger piece of rubble in a low flow area at the bottom of the tank and it had attached itself in no time. Also, at Walmart they sell a breeder net that hooks on the side of the tank, roughly 6" x 4" for $3.50, and you could put it in there with several pieces of rubble and I bet it would attach to one.

its pretty easy to take them off, you just kind of have to tickle their foot until they start peeling off
so what happened? did you give it to your lfs for some store credit or did you give it to someone?
