If it is, it's no good ..... just another pest anemone. I believe they don't spread as fast as aiptasias, but you should get rid of it. Wait for more replies though. :D

do clownfish like these type of anemone's at all? i don't have that piece LR in my reef tank yet. I wanted to find out what it was first. guess it won't be going in the display tank.

I've never heard of a clown accepting one as a host .... but that's just my experience. :D

I believe bang is correct...and they tend to be even bigger pests than majano...quick to populate and sometimes difficult to get rid of. If thats the only one you have I'd sure inject it with a kalk paste or some other solution that can kill it quickly.

i read somewhere to squirt it with boiling water and it'll kill it. so i tried and it appears it's worked pretty good.

You should be able to pick up small platic syringes at pharmacys cooking stores and some LFS carry them.

i wouldn't try that with ur zoos right there. use a needle with a special chemical to kill aiptasia. by the way... the boiling water didn't do a damn thing... that lil pest popped up a few days later. i'm going to look into a specific chemical to kill it.
