I have these things growning in my tank. I am very new at this. My tank is 55gal and I have had it set up for a 1 yr or two with just live rock. Now I have gotten anenomni's 4 and have two tubo snails and about 6 blue leg crabs. I get up at 3:00am and these are on the side of my tank. Are they good or bad. I took a picture. They are clear and only come out at night. they are on the side of my tank. they look like baby nudibranch. But they go back wards with their big ends first. Hope I discribe this right. :help:

Thes are amphipods. If the are very small and larger on one end than the other it sounds more like copepods...both of which are beneficial.

These are copepods: (Copepods from Ernst Haeckel's "Kunstformen der Natur")
ps...color (and size) may vary
