please help me with my ASM G3!!!!!!

i just got a G3 yesterday morning (255...thank u ----) but i can't get my bubble levels right. I've been running it in my sump for almost 2 days straight, and trying to figure out what height to keep the flow pipe at.....but it either fills up the collection cup with water, or the bubbles don't even reach it.....am i doing something wrong here? Is there like a "break-in" period on these skimmers?

most skimmers need to break in for them to get to their full potential but i am not too familiar with the ASM

i have one, but never used it. i think all you have to do is raise the sock up or down. if thats waht your doing, it may just need to break in.

I have used many ASM skimmers. There is a break in period with all needle wheel skimmers. It usually takes me 2-3 days to get the outflow stack at the right height to get the best 'dry skim'. They work best in about 9" high water. If your water level is higher put it on an 'egg crate' platform
I would adjust the stack height so that the top of the bubbles are just under the stack going into the collectioin cup and leave it alone for 12 hours. Adjust the outflow stack height every 8-12 hours for a day or two to keep af the bubbles at that height.
These are good skimmers. I think you will be happy with it
