Im definately a newbie so I am probably wrong, but did you use tap water? Could be the early stage of an algae bloom possibly?

i dont think its tap water cuz if that was the case then the ph would be higher... umm i m stumped as to what the problem could be!

How long has the tank been setup?
What's is the tank's temp?
What's the salinity or SG?
How old are those test readings?

Imo your temp is low, I like to keep mine in the 80-82 range.
How many Damsels did you buy? Did you add them to the tank all at once?
When and how many died?
Any major fluctuations to the temp or SG?
IMO a tank as new as yours is no place for a starfish, not flamming just MHO.
How did you acclimate the fish and starfish?

I bought 4 and yes i put them in at the same time two of them died. I did not know i could put a star fish in my tank i found out to late. I acclimate the fish just by putting the bag in the water and let it sit for 2 hr the star fish i let is for 7 hr keep in mind i'm new at this

Two months and three "0"s look a little suspicious..I'd recheck or have confirmed those readings...should have at least "some" nitrAte in there if tank has "cycled"..
Or your going through the cycle now... hence the dead fish and cloudy water caused by bacterial bloom...

bacterial bloom is this good or bad

Bad.
What test kit are you using?
In the future use the drip method when acclimating new livestock especialy when adding starfish. Also, a general rule of thumb is never add more than one fish at a time.

what do you mean by you let it sit for 7hrs? Did you acclimation them to the water? (not just float the water, but add water to the bag?) If not, there is your problem with the stars and maybe the fish too.
Temp is too low, do you have a heater on the tank? if not, get one and slowly raise the temp. My is 78 min, stays 78 in winter, 80-82 in summer.
Being new is no exuse for anything.
What size tank? adding four in a larger tank isn't as big deal as adding four to a smaller tank.
Did you cycle your tank
? Nitrates are never zero...under 20 yes, but not zero in a cycled tank (at least not that I've ever seen). Check the date on your test kit and you have the lfs check you water to be on the safe side. (if the test expire, they are no good and WILL give false readings).
If you're going through a cycle, please take the stars back the lfs, they might live through it, but why take the chance?
Have you added anything else? Uncured lr?

How did you cycle the tank?
What kind of water do you use?
What kind of water circulation do you have in the tank?
Filter/skimmer?

I cycled the tank with a shrimp. I am useing tap water for now working on getting ro unit. I have a aqua clear 30 power head and a hob filter with bio wheel just bought a skimmer it haven't got here yet

I would say the tap water and the lack of a skimmer may very well be doing the star in but most likely not the damsels. Stars need pristine water conditions as I'm sure you already have found out the hard way. Try putting carbon in the HOB filter and see if that clears up the tank. Run it for about a week straight.

How new is it? Carbon looses its potency in about 10-14 days in a SW tank. Also, is it white cloudy or green cloudy?
