OK, here is the situation....
My tank has been up and running now for about 2 weeks after having moved all from my 75 gal into my 125 gal. Live rock/live sand.
I use kalk. My problem/question is this.
I went to clean my glass this weekend and the brown algea came off no problem but there is a milky white film on my glass that as hard as I try I cannot wipe off. I think it is calcium redidue but it is a beast to get off.
What should I do to get this off? Is this a common problem? Is it the calcium doing this?

will the razor blade not scratch the glass or cause any other damage?
is this white calcium film common and is it usually hard to get off?

Yeah, calcium is a pain to get off. I got myself one of those good magnet cleaners and that was abrasive enough to do the trick. If it is glass then it won't be harmed. The razor would work too, but it might be a little time consuming.
