I am looking into buying a 75gal. tank with a P/F prtoien skimmer,uv sterilizer,canister filter,stand,and canopy for $350 used.The guy upgrade his tank is selling his old one.He said everything is 5 years old and in great shape.Does this sound good?I say yeah.BUT,SHOULD I GET A REEF OR A F/O?I already have about $50 of Live rock and was wondering in a F/O could I have LR???

You can have live rock in F/O tanks. If you are not already experienced in reef keeping I would just do F/O. Otherwise if you want to do a reef, before you add anything at all, research reef keeping as indepth as you can get. Also talk to experienced reef keepers, and make sure it's not just one person... because everyone has their own thoughts and experiences. You have to be very knowledgable in reefs in order to keep them. They are not as easily kept as F/O.

try the fowlr first till you get the hang of it. there are hardy easy to keep corals too that are available. even if you read all the info and heard all the stories you can encounter alot of problems just jumping into and starting a reef with no experience
