I seen the strangest thing, I just started a 12 gallon nano, so was moving most of my reef stuff out of my 75. I have a really cool christmas tree rock( one of my favorite things). I picked it up, thers was a centipede looking worm under it that had to be at least 10inches long. It was orange, And had a white ring around its neck. Does anyne not wat it is? I didn't kill it thinking it might be good. Please help :help:

Sounds like a bristleworm... most of them are very beneficial, with the exception being the fireworm. Where is your live rock from???
Fire worms come from LR from the Atlantic...
Also, even though most are beneficial, a 10" worm in a 12 gallon tank may be undesireable.....it's up to you

it's a bristleworm, i looked at some pictures and that's what I have(i mean did have). What I read from most things i found they are good, except the big ones. I also read that they grow very fast and that they can get up to 24 inches, As for the live rock, i little of everything

Arrow crabs do a great job of controlling bristle worms, however I don't know if they can eat a 10" one.
