Please Help

I have a 100 gallon tank and I am about to get some good lights for it. do you think that
3X175W MH would be good
or 2X250w MH would be good
or 2X400w Mh
the tank is 5 foot long
i would like to be able to really put anything i want in there.

the size of the MH 175 250 and 400, go with the bigger mh the deeper the tank. I have a 125 gallon 6 ft long and 14 inches deep. I have 2 175 mh's and my tank is growing great. I use the coralife aqualight pro. nice set of lights and everyone likes them . I have 2 36'' sets on my tank, so i dont have to take off all the lights during maintance. here is a pic.

I'd go with 2x250 personally. Make sure that you get bulbs with higher PAR.
I think that 3 bulbs might be overkill.
