Ok i purchased some frags a few weeks ago. As im glueing them on a rock i see these half circle shaped worms? all over these frags. I FW dipped in RO. What are they? Can they hurt me? What can i do, will they infest my tank? please help im just getting a decent tank and apparently ive been hosed.....

i really need an answer here...im not sure where to go next. The saddest part is they were bought here...i hope i can nip this in the but before all my zoas are gone...

Half circle shaped worm-new one on me. Are they killing the zoas? You might try another F/W dip. Other than that maybe they are just irritating the zoas and keeping them closed try placing the zoas in front of a strong power head in a bucket of same temp F/W and hold them there for a minute for a few days and see if that helps. It will take the zoas a couple days to open after this but might blow off and kill the worms.

How tiny are we talking? Some pods can resemble a half-circle worm without magnification, and if that's what you've got, you've got nothing to worry about. Any chance of a picture or getting a magnifying glass to see if they have legs?

pods are what i first thought by half circles....and if you got that on frags, thats good because pods are wondeful to have in your tank, and will help seed it more in your own...I'll pick up rocks in my tank and they'll come crawling out of the zoos on my hands and wiggle around.....if they are bristles, its still not a concern unless the whole frag was bristles and a polyp poking out, which i'm guessing not...so i think you're fine from the sounds of it.
