For a couple of weeks now I have noticed this green slime at the bottom of my tank...can anybody tell me what it is and how to get reed of it?

Looks likd dinoflagellates:

of course, there are green type dinoflagellates as well.
Caused by poor water quality, not enough circulation.
Add a powerhead or two and do more frequent and larger volume water changes.

+1 for Snake's reply. Also make sure you're using DI or RO water and not topping off with tap.
