Not sure what this red stuff is on my tank. Its only at this one spot. Should I get rid of it or is this a good thing?
Thanks

Do a search for red slime algae or "Cyanobacteria" I wish you went with LIve Sand Instead of the crushed coral..

I got plenty of flow as my Corals are almost horizontal to the sand-bed. Could I just cyphon it out of the tank?

yep siphon that out for sure. I've had some cyano but not as bright as that before. It's a strange phenomenon in this hobby that everyone has to deal with at one time or another. Make sure you are using RO water and keeping nitrates and phosphates in check.

I been using TAP WATER all along. I know now that I need to have RO water, but can't seem to find any at all. I went to Wal-mart to get some but did not see a schedule showing the last filter chance. I guess RO water with old filter is still better than TAP right? Trying to safe up now to buy a good RO/DI unit.
Thanks for all of you for your input.

Yup, distilled will do fine, but it's more costly. Do you have a LFS that sells pre-mixed saltwater?
