I'm looking for some help with a few things... I've been reading
books and this board for information on keeping soft coral and
anenome's...
My tank has been up and running for 8 months with no problems. The tank is a 20 Gallon High, with 40 lbs of Live Rock, Crushed Coral and Live Sand Bottom, and a 110W Power Compact Light. The Light has two bulbs, (1) 55 watt 10,000K white and a 55 watt Actinic Blue. There is also a night light in there.
I have a Fluval 203 filter, and 2 power heads for water circulation. There is also a Skimmer that I run for a few hours a day. I find it does more if I run it a few hours a day.
I want to get some color in the tank, (main goal) and want some
sort of soft corals or anenome.
The tank is home to (1) Percula Clown, (1) Royal Gramma (1) Cleaner Shrimp, (4) Turbo Snails, and (2) Hermit Crabs.
I would like to add another fish, and really want the color of the soft coral.
My question is what can I put in there without having to change out the lighting?
Also what small fish can I add to the tank?
I have this tank at my office, hanging Metal Halide's isn't an
option.
Please advise....
Thanks
JC

firstly, your skimmer seems to be working more when you only run it a few hours a day because its has to take out all the sludge that accumulates while its not running. I'd suggest to run it 24 hours a day, it would be much better for the tank.
As for corals, i have a 46 gal with 192 watts pc, and i would suggest brains, a bright yellow fiji leather, zoanthids are great,(and addictive once you start getting some), mushrooms, xenia is great for movement, candy cane/trumpet corals, basically most softies and lps will do good in your setup.
i dont know much about anemonies, but i think there are only a few kinds that will survive in your setup.
